        Through years of installing home theaters for customers, I have learned that every home theater is special and really needs to be unique for everyone. So far every home theater that I have installed, has been differant with a special touch. Home theaters need to look like what the customers image is. I’ve been to many already built home theaters from home builders. Some are really creative but some look really plain with no personal touches. All they have is just a screen and a projector, some just have a big flat panel television siting on a regular stand.  I strive all the time to make every installation different with a little creativity.  Its more impressive to hang the flat panel and hide every wire and be sure to mount the television where the customer wants it. Not only it important to mount flat panel where the customer wants it, its also very important to put the components like the cable box, av receiver, gaming system where the customer also wants them. The components can go just about anywhere. I personally like the components concealed in a closet of some sort. You can always control the devices where ever they are by using a RF system or remote. This usually takes many questions for the customers. Where would you like the components? How often do you use the DVD player? What kind of gaming system are you using. The majority of the gaming sytems are controlled by Blutooth. You don’t want the customer to travel far, just to put a DVD or video game in the device.  Make it convenient.
           Its really important for the customer to tell me wher they want the speakers and what they look like. Customer sometimes want big speaker and some want small speakers to save room. Remember, its all about the customer, not us and what we want.
          All the types of home theater installation take steps and questions and alot of figuring out things. We need to decide what size of screen would be best. What kind of projector will be best and what kind of look are you going for.  Not only we will install the television or screen but we’ll design the interior.  We need to find out the right spots to where the couch will go and how far back customers will be from the screen.  We could even put a bar in the same room. Basically we are making a great home theater that you can have some fun in too. This should be a place for the family and encourage more use rather that just watching dvd’s, cable and playing games.
